exist since the late 19th century and are used
all over the English Speaking World.

But as if nobody would speak English in France

Any French based company can now register
any domain name.

Whitepages.fr and Yellowpages.fr
are registered in the same Internetcafe in Paris,
where 4 years earlier came alive the Phonebook of the World.
